The Glaslough
From €340 Made to OrderCorner the Market on Growing Space
Our L-shaped raised bed is the ideal choice for gardeners who want to make the most of a corner space or simply maximise their growing area. Combining the footprint of two of our medium beds joined at a right angle, it offers three distinct planting zones in one striking structure — perfect for separating crops, rotating plantings, or mixing flowers with edibles.
Handcrafted from carefully selected reclaimed pallet wood and finished using the traditional Japanese shou sugi ban technique — charring the surface for a beautiful dark finish that naturally preserves the timber — each bed is then sealed with food-safe Danish oil, making it completely safe for growing vegetables and herbs.

Built for Corner Spaces
The L-shape makes clever use of fence lines, walls, and garden corners that a rectangular bed would leave wasted. The inner corner creates a natural focal point and an accessible working area — you can reach the full planting depth from any side without stretching.
The Shou Sugi Ban Finish
Traditional Japanese technique: Shou sugi ban (焼杉板) is an ancient method of preserving wood by charring its surface. The carbonised layer naturally protects against rot, insects, and weathering — ideal for the Irish climate.
