Our medium raised bed strikes the ideal balance between growing capacity and space efficiency. It's perfect for vegetable gardens, mixed plantings, or creating beautiful flower displays. The extended length provides excellent versatility for succession planting and companion planting strategies.

Handcrafted from reclaimed pallet wood, each bed is built to withstand the Irish climate while maintaining its rustic charm. Every bed is finished using the traditional Japanese shou sugi ban technique—charring the wood surface to create a beautiful dark finish that naturally preserves the timber. We then seal it with food-safe Danish oil, ensuring it's completely safe for growing vegetables and herbs.

The Shou Sugi Ban Finish

Traditional Japanese Technique: Shou sugi ban (焼杉板) is an ancient method of preserving wood by charring its surface. This process creates a carbonized layer that naturally protects against rot, insects, fire, and weathering.
